Giving those images a little extra love.

Just because you’ve finished your shoot doesn’t mean your images are ready to share with the world. Almost every professional photographer out there uses one form or another of post-processing to make sure their images reach their full potential. Whether it’s making those vibrant colors pop, removing that obnoxious guy in the background or touching up a few blemishes, post-processing is a huge asset in modern photography. Below are a few before an after images of my work.

Enhancing Portraits

Color treatment can make or break a photo and making the right adjustments can make everyone look better. Here I managed the highlights to prevent the image from being blown out, while introduced a bit more color which livened up the whole crew.

Adding Contrast

Eye popping colors could be that one thing that makes a viewer click your link or buys your product. This photo was on the landing page of a website and the vibrant color correction mixed with the contrast adjustments complimented its purpose–to engage visitors.

Extending the Background

Sometimes you don’t get quite a large enough backdrop for your subject. For this fashion shoot, I extended the white BKG and cleaned up the shadows to focus all the attention on the model.

Exposure and White Balance

Your events look great to the people attending, don’t let exposure or white balance ruin their appearance to everyone else. Here I made sure to keep the detail of the video art on screen while enhancing skin tones of the performers on stage.

Object Removal

Removing those unwanted objects in the background of a photo enhances your images to ensure viewers are looking at what matters. Here I removed the picnic table, some dead branches and person on along the shoreline to keep this family photo looking pristine.

Polished and ready for Purchase

When you’re selling products online, image is everything. In this shot, I adjusted the light/color levels and removed some dust and dirt from the product. It’s the details the let make the difference and draw the attention of potential buyers.
